In the Contemporary Art Cabinet, Ans Verdijk presents her most recent work under the title:
Lingerie Lease for Forgotten Body Parts

The exhibition presents a versatile series of sculptural body shields. The works have been intensively worked on and appear due to the
to have been formed by time and the elements. They sparkle and possess an earthy, unusual radiance.

The forms are light and layered. The shields are divided into grids and frames, allowing you to look from one inside to the other outside. As if a hidden world unfolds behind every opening.

The images evoke associations with organic structures and unknown life forms. They refer to underground
tunnel systems, root networks, and/or colorful coral reefs that we have never seen but can dream of.

The work of Ans Verdijk moves on the boundary between nature, body, and imagination. Her work is characterized by a
continuous exploration of the interfaces between a form, concept, and a wide variety of materiality.
